Golden Curry Beef Stew
Ingredients
- 1 Package of S&B Golden Curry Japanese Curry Mix
- 4 cups of beef broth (or water and beef bouillon)
- Carrots (baby or regular)
- 1 Package of Edamame Beans
- 1 Apple (optional)
- Provides a slight sweetness
- 4 tablespoons butter (optional)
- Provides a little fat for the lean meat
- 1-2 tablespoons Chili Oil (optional)
- 1-2 tablespoons Soy Sauce (optional)
- Provides a little Japanese zing
- 1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce (optional)
- Provides a little Japanese zing
- 1/2 tablespoon Oyster Sauce (optional)
- Provides a little Japanese zing
Instructions
- Prep Ingredients
- Chop Potatoes, Carrots, and Beef into bite size pieces (1-2 inches)
- Dice up Celery, Onion, and Garlic
- (optional) Shred Apple using a cheese grater
- Sear beef chunks in a skillet
- Add Beef, Potatoes, Carrots, Celery, Onion, Garlic, and fresh Parsley into Crock Pot
- Pour broth into Crock Pot
- Season with Salt and Pepper
- Add optional ingredients as desired
- Turn Crock Pot to HIGH, cook for 2 hours
- Turn Crock Pot to LOW, cook until meat meat is fall apart tender (about 5-6 hours)
- Add all 5 blocks of curry mix, breaking up blocks for faster dissolving
- Add Edamame
- Turn Crock Pot to HIGH, to allow curry to mix in for 30 minutes (mixing every 10 minutes
- Serve as is or over rice/noodles
